This very attractive species from Columbia produces bright red flowers when in bloom. Red flowers are not common in the genus Tillandsia.
This species is very similar to Til. funckiana but does not grow in a caulescent form(grows as a stem).

Tillandsia araujei is a species from Brazil that comes in many variations.
This is the "Closed Form" which has longer, thin leaves that are less stiff than other typical forms.
Produces lovely rose-colored bracts with white flowers.
Hang this fast-growing species in a bright, airy place with frequent waterings and it will produce a long cascading cluster that is very attractive.
