This attractive little species clumps readily forming massive clusters of plants. Produces beautiful 3 petal red flowers. Red flowers are rare among Tillandsias. The leaves typically get from 3 to 5 inches long.
The bright red flowers are approximately 3/4 inch across. A number of very colorful hybrids have been made using Albertiana.

This is the "Closed Form" which has longer, thin leaves that are less stiff than other typical forms.
Produces lovely rose-colored bracts with white flowers.
